Tesfa Botus (born June 15, 1992) straight out of the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn New York is the brand new "flava" in your ear; te$fa. Often compared to the styles of artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell, & even Jay-Z because of his lyrical content & Also being compared to acts of the "New Jack Swing" era for his high energy performances.
The 17 year old rapper/entertainer is currently making his way into the game with a new perspective never before seen. Representing the new generation of hip-hop young ladies all over the globe are tweeting "whos @tesmoneyy"? they will soon find out.
The artist who released his debut single "Fly Kicks" distributed by EDM Publishing in 2009 has been hard at work since then. Although there was a period where te$fa gave music a rest, after continuously getting into trouble, his mother decided to purchase him a Mic, Mic stand, shock stand, studio headphones, & a program named Sonar; with this he began learning how to master & mix tracks by trial & error.
He has been doing various performances and talent shows at Loft 101 for The "A-List Star Factory" & Kokonuts Lounge for Hot 97's Monse's Monday Night Showcase to name a few. He has released his mixtape entitled "spaceships&hoodbitches" which he recorded & mixed down HIMSELF in his own bedroom, the mixtape was released in early 2010 & gained over 20,000 downloads in two days.
With New York being the beginning of rap but having a drought in recent years, this young energetic phenom is heading full force into the game with lots of promise.
